Dubai wedding planning
Planning a Dubai wedding from abroad, one decision at a time.
What to decide remotely, what your local team needs to check, and how to keep approvals clear.
Create one working brief.
Begin with a date range, an approximate guest count, venue ideas and the experience you want for your guests. Separate essentials from preferences. Share traditions, accessibility needs and privacy requirements before the room layout is developed.
Name the people who will approve the design and budget. A shared decision log prevents different family members from approving conflicting versions.
Ask for more than a venue photograph.
Request a proposed layout showing tables, stage, dance floor and service paths. Your local team should review access for suppliers, installation hours and the venue's technical requirements. The advertised maximum guest capacity is not the capacity of every wedding design.
Approve drawings and samples in stages.
A reference image sets the direction; it does not settle dimensions, flower quantities or finishes. Review the layout first, then the design scope and materials. Use dated drawings and written approvals so the build follows the same version you have seen.
Keep production and guest travel on separate lists.
Our core scope connects wedding planning, design and production. Flights, accommodation, guest transport and legal marriage arrangements require separate responsibilities and confirmations. Assign an owner to every task instead of assuming the planner or hotel will handle it.
Prepare a final shared plan.
Confirm the guest count, layout, supplier contacts, programme, venue access and the family's main contact before the wedding. If you are visiting Dubai beforehand, use that visit for decisions that benefit from seeing the space and materials in person.
Planning questions
Can a Dubai wedding be planned before a site visit?
Yes. Start with a remote brief and current venue information. Agree which decisions need measured drawings or samples and which, if any, require an in-person visit.
Who signs off design changes during remote planning?
Name one authorised decision maker. Record each approval and review the price and timing impact before instructing a change.
Start with your date and priorities.
